International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi emphasized in an interview with the Korean newspaper "The Chosun Ilbo" that he is willing to drink and even swim in the treated nuclear water. He pointed out that South Korea should be more concerned about the North Korean nuclear issue compared to the Fukushima treated water. In response to this, South Korean lawmakers raised questions, asking if the safety level of the treated nuclear water is deemed sufficient, whether Japan would consider using it as domestic drinking water or for industrial and agricultural purposes. The citizens of South Korea do not want to consume contaminated water or swim in polluted water.
