以色列的“中东小霸王”的名号是怎么得的呢？是真有实力，还是空有其名呢？这其中又有怎样的“机缘”呢？我们一起来扒一扒：
众所周知，第二次世界大战以后，苏联和美国成为主导全球力量的“两极”，即唯二的超级大国。美国率先“整合”，组建了自己的“打手队”——北约军事集团，苏联也不遑多让，手里也打出了明牌：华约集团。两大集团对峙，“两极”怒目，两大超级大国明枪暗箭，你来我往，斗得不可开交。一时间，几十年间搅闹的国际局势风云诡谲，甚至战云密集。
美国的全称是美利坚合众国或者美利坚联邦共和国，奉行的是“胡萝卜+大铁棒”的霸权主义和强权政治，完完全全地美帝国主义；苏联的全称是苏维埃社会主义共和国，奉行的大国沙文主义，演变为社会帝国主义。两大超级大国其实质就是典型的大帝国和帝国主义做派，对内专制、对外搞侵略主义。都想做这个世界的“老大”，那还不打起来吗？
由于两大超级大国都是核武器大国，因此、双方虽然暗箭无形，你来我往，但斗而不破。这是双方的共同且公开的秘密，“两极”都在管控着自己的“打手队”，牢牢地掌控着“核密码箱”的那根钥匙。两个超级大国明白擦枪走火的结果，就是玉石同焚，一起下地狱，到阎王爷那里去报到。
