立秋是中国传统二十四节气（the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms）中的第十三个节气，标志着夏日的结束和秋天的到来。所以立秋的英文表达为Beginning of Autumn.
又是一年秋风起？
然而，秋季虽然已经开始，但是暑气并未消散，现在还正处在一年当中最炎热难耐的三伏天。
但是不要担心，立秋既已至，凉爽的秋风也就不远矣！
立秋三候，岁月可期：
一候凉风至
Cool wind comes in the first phase.
二候白露生
White dew falls in the second phase.
三候寒蝉鸣
Cicadas lament in the third phase.
立秋不仅是重要的节气，还是我国重要的岁时节日，在我国传统文化中具有重要意义。
在中国古代，人们对于立秋的情感寄托，往往都通过诗词流传给后世，而这些诗词也成为了中国古典文学宝库中的珍贵财富。

作为秋季的第一个节气，立秋的“立”即开始，“秋”乃禾熟。在自然界，万物开始从繁茂成长趋向成熟。立秋之后，等待着我们的，将是硕果累累，满载而归。
立秋胡桃白露梨，寒露柿子红了皮。
Starting autumn walnut white pear, cold dew persimmon red skin.
秋天来了，酷暑渐消，秋风渐起，凉意渐生，不急不缓、不骄不躁，我们所期待的，也将一一有所收获。
立秋谚语一叶知秋
One falling leaf is indicative of the coming of autumn.
立了秋，把扇丢。
Autumn has arrived, throw away the fan.

Farmers don't have to work hard on a sunny day at the beginning of autumn.
