诗歌，是有生命的。诗句承载着的，是诗人的灵魂，它永恒地，超脱于时空之外地，与每一位读者相遇。当诗人与读者的灵魂在某一刻高度契合，则世间的一切障碍：语言、国界、时间、距离......都不复存在。
只要心灵相通，诗歌便可译。当诗人与译者的灵魂在笔端相遇，从原文到译文，虽换了一个躯壳，但精神姿致依然如故。诗人的灵魂，也得以跨越语言、跨越国界被更多的读者所感受，所理解。

Who are you, reader, reading my poems an hundred years hence? I cannot send you one single flower from this wealth of the spring, one single streak of gold from yonder clouds.
