01 “玩手机”英语怎么说？

“玩手机”实际上玩的不是手机

而是里面的各种软件

所以不能说play the phone

因为play接的内容是玩的对象

比如play the piano, play soccer

比较贴切的表达应该是：

①Spend time on your phone

花时间在手机上，其实也是表示你在玩手机

例：

Nowadays, many people spend much time on smartphone.

现在许多人玩手机度日。

②Use the phone

使用手机

例：

Does using a phone while it is charging really damage the battery?

手机充电的时候用手机（玩手机）真的会对电池造成损害吗？

③over+use=overuse  [ˌoʊvərˈjuːs ]

使用过度，滥用的意思

很多人都花大量时间来玩手机

我们可以直接说overuse phones

例：

Children should avoid overusing phones.

孩子应该避免过度玩手机。

PS: over本身含有"过分，过度的"意思

over+动词原形=过度干某事

譬如：

over+use=overuse   过度使用

over+study=overstudy  过度学习(用功过度)

over+work=overwork    劳累过度

④play on the phone

玩手机

如果一定要用play加上on

可以把它变成不及物动词

说play on the phone

比如：play the games on your phone

就是在手机上玩游戏

例：

You can play the Arena Of Valor on your phone.

你可以在你手机上玩王者荣耀。

02 “翻看手机”英语怎么说？

如果你是刷手机可以用

swipe my phone（√）刷手机

平常翻看手机可以用：

look through my phone

如果只是短暂的看一眼手机

可以用：Check my phone

例：

①I checked my phone like a hundred times today to see if he replied me on WeChat.

我大约看了一百多次手机，想看他有没有给我回微信。

②Why did you look through my phone？

你为什么要翻看我的手机呢？

03 “手机没电”英语怎么说？

My phone's off和My phone's dead

通常是表示完全没电了

My phone's dying

则是表示电量慢慢消失的状态

例：

My phone's dying, I gotta go.

我手机快没电了，先挂了

或者也可以用out of juice

这里juice相当于口语中的power

out of juice=out of power

是没电了的意思

这是非常口语化的表达方式

例：

His phone had run out of juice during the school day,

and so he had taken a seat near an electrical outlet.

他的手机在白天已经用得快没电了，所以他坐在一个靠近电源插座的地方。

04 “你来电话了”英语怎么说？

在国外电话很少直接翻译成call

更地道的翻译是phone call

“你来电话了”的英语就是：

you have a phone call

来电话的时候，手机会震动和响铃

所以也能说：

your phone is ringing

例：

Your phone was ringing when you went to the toilet.

你上厕所的时候，你来电话了。

05 “电话打不通”英语怎么说？

一直打不通电话真的很令人恼火

get through是接通电话

所以打不通就是：

It did not get through

打不通电话最常见的情形就是占线

占线就是有人在打这个电话号码

①the number/line is engaged

②the line is busy

例：

I called my boyfriend this morning, but it did not get through.

我上午给男朋友打电话了，但是没打通。
