1.look v. 看

侧重短暂的看的动作（包括抽象地看待人、问题或事件等），但并不一定能看见，有时用来唤起别人的注意。look后不直接跟宾语，必须跟at或其他介词。看待，（大致）浏览，翻阅（书报、杂志等）; （尤指专家）检查，察看，研究

Look at the blackboard.

侧重看的结果；也指眼睛看得见或观看比赛、电视节目等。表示眼睛获得视觉图像而知道某物的存在，则用see。这时，see往往与can连用：

If you look carefully you can just see our house from here.

你要是仔细看，从这里就可以看见我们的房子。

She looked for him but couldn't see him in the crowd.

她在人群里找来找去，但没看见他。

He could see (that) she had been crying.

She was seen running away from the scene of the crime.
