2019年的普利策突发新闻摄影奖（Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography）授予了路透社的Adrees Latif、Loren Elliott、Carlos Barria、Edgard Garrido、Lucy Nicholson、Carlos Garcia Rawlins、Ueslei Marcelino、Alkis Konstantinidis、Claudia Daut、Kim Kyung Hoon、Corinne Perkins 、Mike Blake（下图从左至右），以表彰他们所拍摄的从中美洲和南美洲走线美国的移民的系列照片，这些作品以生动、震撼的视觉叙事，展现了这些走线美国人所经历的紧迫感、绝望感和悲伤感。

值得一提的是，“走线美国”题材的摄影作品在今年刚刚再次获得了一次普利策摄影奖，见本系列前文《2024年专题摄影奖：走线美国》。

不过，在当时的这些照片中，尚没有出现黄皮肤黑头发的中国人形象。几年后就出现了，并且越来越多。
